Rap lyrics and Hip Hop beats are provided to encourage participants to unleash their inner rapper.

A variety of practical exercises are introduced that build awareness and understanding in:

Breathwork

Appreciating a beat

Building Confidence 

Flow & Tone

Freestyle 

Live performance technique

Participants are encouraged to tap into their creativity and write lyrics that are inspired by their passions and life experiences.

Workshops culminate in a sharing to celebrate the work that has been curated.

LYRIC WRITING

“Yoga is a group of physical, mental and spiritual practices or disciplines, that originate from ancient India, aimed at controlling and stilling the mind”

 

A yoga class is delivered at a general level giving participants an opportunity to feel into their bodies and observe their breathing.

A physical yoga class aims to build strength, improve flexibility and relax the mind and nervous system. Each class includes:

 

Pranayama - The practice of breath control

Physical warm up

Sun Salutations

Standing poses

Seated poses

Balance

Meditation

Relaxation

This workshop brings together yoga movements and rap exercises that can help to support physical health and mental well-being.

 

Participants engage in a diverse range of fun and challenging activities that aim to reduce stress and build confidence.

 

Yoga poses are broken down and then put together with rap lyrics in a choreographed sequence set to music. 

 

We end with a sharing of the sequence in small groups.

The practice of Mindfulness can help to relieve stress, improve sleep and improve concentration levels. It can help to increase our ability to regulate emotions and when practiced regularly can benefit our overall health and well-being.

 

This workshop will encourage participants to practice mindfulness using the following techniques:

Physical movement

Gratitude

Loving Kindness

Positive Affirmations

I have several years of experience supporting and mentoring privately.

Many of my younger students have special educational needs and benefit from having the extra time and attention.
